Damba: a typical festival celebrated in northern Ghana to thank the gods for a good harvest year and to pray for another fruitful year. Damba: also, a type of dance among Ghanaians of northern dissent with a universal appeal.
By naming the company Damba Multimedia Limited, we borrow its characteristics of trust, simplicity, dynamism, creativity, insight, professionalism, hard work, diversity, reliability and team work as found in Damba (both Dance and Festival).
Our Story
Just like each one of us, the Damba Multimedia Family has a story. Founder and Managing Director, Yidana puts it this way “The quest to find a job that serves both my personal needs and also one that makes me available to serve society and put me closer to my people is what gave birth to Damba Multimedia Limited in September 2007. An investment into a Sony PD-170p semi-professional camcorder offered the needed financial security to quite an 8am to 5pm job and venture into the unknown world of entrepreneurship. Through the usual challenges with startups, we have grown from just a Sony PD-170p to a full blown well equipped and resourced multimedia production company with four permanent employees and a family of contractors who come on board based on the specific job at hand.
